PGSF (Print and Graphic Scholarship Foundation) holds an annual national poster competition to promote its scholarships. Joy was awarded a cash prize of $500. The poster will be used in colleges, high schools and technical schools to promote the availability of scholarships available through PGSF.

The objective was to create a unique greeting card. The Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation (GAERF) awarded Brittany $2,000 and an expense paid trip to Chicago to accept the first-place award.
This greeting has three levels of depth after the card is opened. The first two levels of depth are waves and the surfers on the waves move via the side handles. A back-light automatically comes on when the card is opened to enhance the multidimensionality of the experience.

The design features a die cut hula dress that can be pealed up as you are enjoying the brew to make the dancer look like she is in motion.

When you look through the inner die cut on the front label (a birdhouse) you see a hatchling (printed on the inner back label).

The poster will be used in colleges, high schools and technical schools to promote the availability of scholarships available through PGSF. Our program received a library of books from Printing Industries of America, and a plaque for display in the department.

The design was printed on transparent paper. You scan the QR code with your iPad and place behind the image to see it come to life in color!
